Dr. Cosmas Batubara Library
History
Established in 2014 at the 5 th floor of the APL Tower, Podomoro City, JL. S. Parman Kav. 28 Jakarta, the Library of Podomoro University is accessible to students, faculty members and staff within a ±140 m² space area. Serving for more than 1,000 students, it has been offering more than 4,000 references for higher education learning process.
Five years later, the library was given a name after the late rector, Dr. Cosmas Batubara, as Dr. Cosmas Batubara Library or known as CB Library. Dr. Cosmas Batubara was the Rector of Podomoro University in the period of 2014-2019. His name was awarded to PU library as commemoration of his contribution to educational especially to Podomoro University.
CB Library manages the collections with Senayan Library Management Systems (SLIMS). The system has been integrated with the student portal to manage such as history of books borrowing, fines, due date of books, booking of books, books extending, and other features related to the collection management.
Vision
To be the resource center for information technology based scientific information in national and international areas that supports the process of Indonesian Higher Education Tridharma with excellent and independent service.
Mission
To support the learning and research activities of the academic community through:
- Providing library collections and services.
- Ensure the development of library automation system for access to collections and services to be updated.
- Supporting academic community to enhance its information literacy.
Services
Dr. Cosmas Batubara Library provides services, such as:
This circulation service is specifically about book borrowing terms and conditions.
- Maximum 2 books can be borrowed per week
- The return of the borrowed books should be on time.
- The return of the borrowed books should be on time.
- Book borrowing period is allowed to be extended one time.
- For any late return of borrowed books will be penalized IDR 2,000/day/book.
Librarians are available to helping students finding resources for research and/or projects as well as providing guidance on citation style, on how to avoiding plagiarism, and other technical assistance.
- CB Library provides computers for the academic purpose.
- Permission to the librarian is obligatory for students using computer.
- The data in the computer will be deleted periodically without any consent from the file creators.
